Club notes 03-03-10

Division 1 Our first team were in action on Saturday evening last in the park. They suffered there first loss of the year when Glenfarne Kiltyclogher beat them on a scoreline of 2-07 to 12 points. The team lined out as follows; Colm Canning, James Campbell, Gerard Griffin, Mark Mitchell, Padraig Mc Garry, Eamon Reynolds, Colm Duffy, Mark Duignan, Ciaran Egan, Cathal Mc Crann, Darren Duignan, Dermot Kennedy, Conor Reynolds, Cathal Quinn, Michael Dorrigan. Subs used; Kevin Mc Grath, Neil Quinn, Derek Kelleher. A special thanks to Ralph for providing tea and sandwiches after the match, it was much appreciated.   Club Lotto The new club draw for 2010 was held in fox’s last Saturday night with the draw for January & February taking place. January winners; EUR150 Samantha Harte C/O Gortletteragh ladies, EUR100 Noel Leslie Anskirt, 3 x EUR50 Mick Murray Fearglass, Michael Berry Dring & Seamus Sorohan Creenagh. February winners; EUR150 John Muldowney Bornacoola, EUR100 Eileen Clarke Forosa, 3 x EUR50 Joseph Mc Nulty Gortinure, Josephine Campbell Cloonohill & Mary & Michael Reynolds Eslin. The club would like to thank all the ticket sellers for all their great work over the last two months and all the people who purchased tickets to make the draw a great success, also the ladies for their help and support on the night and Jimmy & Kathleen for the use of their premises. The March draw will take place in the Welcome Inn Cornageeha on the last Saturday of March.   Congratulations Congratulations to Oonagh (McGarry) & PJ Faye on the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Tara Lily.   Junior Ladies Presentation On Friday night last the Junior ladies were presented with there Junior B League medals. Niall Flynn made the presentation on the night to the girls. Many thanks to Niall Flynn –Shannon Key for the use of the premises and all the staff for a fabulous meal, Declan Gaffney who took our photo’s, DJ Alan Mulligan who done a great job. The ladies would like to thank especially all those who attended on the night. It was much appreciated.
