Underage Presentation

The underage presentation which was due to be held on Friday 18th December was put back until after Christmas due to the fact that some of the U-14 boys had another function to attend on the same night.

A.G.M.

The club will hold its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 9th January at 7pm in the Community Centre.

Charity Match

Another date for your diary is the annual charity match which will take place on St. Stephens Day at 2pm in the park. The match will feature two mixed teams, one from the north of the parish and one from the south.  We have a border commission working on where the divide in the parish will be.

Cathal McCrann

Congrats to Cathal McCrann who was recently named County Hurler of the year for 2009. This is a well deserved award for Cathal who is one of the main men at helping to keep the hurling going in our club.

Cathal Quinn

Congratulations to first team player Cathal Quinn who announced his engagement to Laura Reynolds last weekend.  It was a quiet year on the wedding front with none of our players getting married so far during 2009.  I think 2010 is going to be different with a few of them heading for the altar.  Indeed just to make sure 2009 wasn’t a complete blank for our players marital status Darren Duignan takes the plunge next week and we wish him and Elaine all the best on their big day.

County Convention

Best wishes to all the new officers elected at the recent county convention and a big thanks to the outgoing officers, especially Gerry McGovern and Declan Bohan.  Good to see these two men have taken other positions on the board.

Happy Christmas

The club would like to take this opportunity to wish all our players, members and supporters a happy Christmas and all the best for 2010.
